There have been events and experiences in my life that even now I look back and have NO clue how such events could have been orchestrated so perfectly and without help from me.

The trouble I have with that quote because an acquaintance of mine would say it over and over, with the connotation that she was telling the universe that it was being obedient and doing what it should. Damn thoughty of her to say so, was my reaction.
But the phrase she left out, and which I never heard is “whether or not it is clear to you” which puts an entirely different spin on it.
This quote is like the current buzzword, “It is what it is.” It’s up to me to accept the present moment as inevitable and determine what my responsibility and role is instant by instant. That’s what’s phenomenal. And the more I let go, the better it is. There is a higher force in the universe, and guess what? It’s not me. That’s what I think he’s saying.
I have had events unfold in a blessed and unforeseen way (like meeting you, for one thing), and certainly not the way I would have planned, I look back at more than 6 decades, and see patterns that are at once ordinary, scary, phenomenal and wondrous. It seems like an instant. Now and at the hour of our death, goes the Ave Maria, which I have drug in this forum before. At the hour of my death, I (hope I) will see my life as one big NOW. I kinda do now.
